HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Happy new year to you all, I hope this is your year.
During the holidays and a couple of weeks before I had been very lazy, no art work was done during this time, and why not.
Before my stint of laziness, I was sketching from 'The book of a hundred hands' by George B. Bridgeman, I'm continuing my study now. If you don't own this book or you know someone that has it borrow it, it's an amazing book to have for any artist, I would go as far as to say vital. Go ahead and copy every sketch in it, I am and I have to say I'm half way and my hands look so much better, and my understanding of the hand has increased as well.
On Arc news, I have 4 final penciled pages, I just need to ink these for Nick to letter. As soon as he does they will go up after his run of 'Tyler Marsh', it's and interesting side story in the Arc universe.
I'll be working on a script for Accent UK's anthology 'Zombies2', the title of the story "look ma new hands". As I've not done zombies yet I'm really looking forward to it.
That's all folks, so till next time.

Wow
Wow, it's been just over two weeks since I un-hooked my mac when i was having work done in my flat. It's taken so long because of many things, being lazy and internet went down for a week and having to re drill holes for my shelves.
Thor trailer http://marvel.com/news/story/14785/see_the_first_thor_trailer and it looks sweet.

A Helpful Vid Tip
This helpful nugget of information was done by Steve Sanchez.
A pretty good vid even if Steve himself is not all there. Enjoy.
How to draw a leg prt3

Now thats done lets start, from left to right.
As with the last two parts, we start with the basic leg shape. The leg no matter which side you look at has the slight 'S' shape running through it. I've added the hip box to this as it all joins. The hips themselves point forwards as if they are pointing away from the legs.
Next when blocking in your muscle mass, try and see the bulk of the top part of the leg (butt) coming down into the tendon like a fang towards the knee and just behind it. with the leg muscle that we can see, even tho I did it this way you could indicate it with an elongated oval if you wish. Then a smaller oval for the calf.
And finally you and muscle detail. I've done a simple muscled leg that you can reference, but some real anatomy books would be better. Ok that's the third nut shell on the leg, I really hope this was a help, let me know if it was or wasn't any feed back would be good.
And if it's asked for I can knock up something a bit more advanced, just let me know.
Keep practicing.
